Acid burns Health and Safety Prosecution

An international chemical company in  Southampton recently prosecuted by the Health and Safety Executive admitted a breach of both Section 2(1) and Section 3(1) of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and was fined £120,000 and ordered to pay legal costs when three workers were burned by acid after 50 year old pipes ruptured.  These workers are all likely to have claims for their injuries.
