Pharmacy mistakes – right prescription wrong drugs

There has been a recent television programme about the tragic (and in three cases fatal) consequences of pharmacists making mistakes when packaging and giving out drugs.  The programme focussed on one of the major high street brands but the problems could arise in any pharmacy when staffing issues leave pharmacists overstretched.

You may have got the right prescription from your GP but the wrong drugs from the pharmacy.

Prescriptions and the drugs should be double checked by preferably 2 different pharmacists to be sure that the correct drugs are being given out to the correct patients.

If you have received the wrong medication and have suffered illness or injury you should be able to claim for compensation.
