Shares in La Perla No 1 Limited – the Spanish property company are now worthless as the company has been declared insolvent and been struck off.
If you bought shares on the advice of an Independent Financial Advisor (perhaps Burgess Williams Financial Management Limited) you may be able to claim compensation up to the value of your shares plus interest.
There is a strong likelihood that the advice you received was wrong the company was considered very high risk and not suited to average investors.
Burgess Williams Financial Management Ltd no longer exists as it has been taken over by other firms. As such you cannot claim against the firm or the Financial Ombudsman Service.
But you can still claim against the FSCS and we have made successful claims in 3/3 cases (100% success rate). These were hard fought but we secured the maximum compensation of £50,000 in each case.
If you advice was from another IFA (not Burgess Williams Financial Management Ltd) who is still around you should still be able to claim against them.
